Maestro Peter Bay is the Music Director of the Austin Symphony and the Britt Festival (Jacksonville, OR). He has previously been Music Director of the Erie Philharmonic, the Annapolis Symphony Orchestra, and the Breckenridge Music Festival, and has held conducting posts with the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra, the Richmond Symphony, and the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra, and he has been guest conductor for numerous other orchestras around the United States. In 1980, Maestro Bay won the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra Young Conductors Competition, and in 1987 he won the the Leopold Stokowski Competition sponsored by the American Symphony Orchestra.

ENSEMBLE: |
The Round Rock Symphony is a professional per-service orchestra serving the greater Round Rock area (population 450,000), which is 10 miles north of Austin. The orchestra consists of young professionals, graduate students in music, and freelance professionals. In 2010-11 the orchestra entered it's 3rd season under the direction of Maestro Silas Huff.

This course focuses on interpretation, historical perspective, and rehearsal technique, combined with body movement classes. The course includes:
- 2 baton technique/conducting classes
- 2 score study sessions/score previews
- 4 video-taped conducting sessions (10+ minutes each)
- 4 video reviews
- 1 "Yoga for Conductors" Class
- 1 "Ballet for Conductors" (Port de bras) class
- 1 Tai Chi class
- 1 Alexander Technique group lesson
